Act I · Opening Scene Transcript
- [Ironclad Night Game Rules] 22:44, all teams have split up and entered the mountain! ① No flashlights allowed at all, strictly forbidden to yell anyone's real name in the foggy woods, and never, ever answer if someone calls your name; ② Stay put at your assigned checkpoint, use the LINE group to stay in touch; ③ Wait, that's weird, the sign-up sheet only had 43 people, why the hell does the group say there are 44 members now?
- Original Poster (Anonymous · National Communications University Male Student)（The sole survivor who posts at 04:44 three days from now）：[#Trending Does anyone know the truth about the 43 people who all died at the College of Media orientation camp? I'm the only one who got out alive] Posted: 3 days from now, 04:44. Dcard fam please help, I'm hiding in a mountain stream culvert typing this right now. At 22:44 three nights ago when the night game kicked off, a 44th dead person snuck into our group! First casualty on the list: exactly 23:00, the freshman hiding in the old A-building auditorium closet, wearing that 'No.44 glow wristband' on his wrist!
- Lin Zheyu (Event Coordinator · Zhe)（Junior, Freshman Orientation Head Coordinator · The seemingly laid-back trap-breaker）：(Zhe, the orientation lead, suddenly sends you a private voice-to-text ping) Dude don't panic! I saw that cursed Dcard post from three days from now too — look down at your wrist right now, did the TA handing out wristbands accidentally give you that extra 'No.44' one?!
- Shen Qingyin (Paranormal Club Senior)（Senior, Head of the Folklore Paranormal Club · Spirit Medium Observer）：(Shen Qingyin, the Paranormal Club president, sends you a warning DM at almost the exact same time) Do NOT hide in that old auditorium closet! We've only got 16 minutes until the 23:00 the post warned about, and something out in the hallway is already checking everyone's wristband numbers.
